Turok
Turok isn't an awful game, it's just an unbelievably frustrating one. It's definitely better than Evolution, but as reinventions go we wanted a whole lot more.

For true next-gen arcade racing thrills Burnout Paradise is most definitely your best option.
Uncharted: Drake's fortune is an excellent effort by Naughty Dog and hopefully the start of an exciting new series. It is without doubt another title that absolutely deserves to be in your collection.
Assassin's Creed should certainly be played by anyone who's got a capable PC, but don't expect to be playing something that will go down in history as one of the greatest games of all time.
Shrek the Third is bound to please youngsters eager for more of their favourite loveable green ogre, but it's really nothing more than a cynical cash in.
Stomping around for a few minutes will bring some fun, but as far as summer movie licensed video games go, Transformers is sadly one of the worst we've seen this year.
Overlord is an entertaining game that should keep you smiling for its duration, but a distinct lack of evil keeps it from being a truly great next-gen adventure.
Forza 2 is the premier Xbox 360 racer and the new king of the genre. If you love cars and own an Xbox 360, this absolutely must be in your collection.

As a launch game Resistance ticks all the boxes; it includes a solid campaign, looks great and features strong online support. If you're picking up a PS3 it should be high on your must buy list.
Pure arcade-style thrills and spills, excellent mini-games, and extended fun thanks to online play. FlatOut 2 is a hugely entertaining racing title.
