198X feels like it was made specifically for me and my nostalgia. Despite it being very short, I love everything 198X is trying to do and I think it succeeds with excellent results. I can’t wait to see what kind of games they will bring in part two.

There is some stuff to enjoy about Shoppe Keep 2, but there’s unfortunately some stuff to dislike. It feels like it left Early Access a little prematurely, as it’s missing some things as I’ve explained, which would have helped the quality of life.

Metal Wolf Chaos XD isn’t big or clever, but if you want to get your kicks as a mech shooting and blowing things up while being an all-American patriot, then there’s only one choice - believe in your own justice!

A brilliant concept with some excellent ideas, let down badly by the game engine, inconsistent writing and plotting

Another solid entry into the F1 franchise for Codemasters. It’s nice to see them expanding the game to represent how drivers work their way up into the F1 roster from the F2 feeder series. Being able to build your driver up from (an albeit short) F2 career really lends credence...

There’s a really good core game here, but it’s let down by the overall presentation. If you enjoy snooker though, you can easily look past this to enjoy it for what it is.

Once I changed the controls to something more comfortable, I had a blast playing through the well-crafted adventure mode and all the tracks and challenges that reside in it, even if the CPU players had the rubber band effect.

All of the variation feels pretty hollow, for sure, but the design of the game compliments what that variation lacks. All in all, it’s a pretty standard auto-runner that also just happens to have Bubsy in it

Although it’s an absolute treat to look at, the fights and some odd design choices mar the experience, so this is a bit more eggplant than pudding.

Overall, Team Sonic Racing is a fun and inventive racing game that puts a nice spin on it with focus on team cooperation. Cooperate with your teammates, blaze through the tracks, and work together to gear up and speed up.

World War Z is very competently made and has very few flaws, but it's just nothing we haven't seen plenty of times before.

A Plague Tale: Innocence wasn’t even on my radar and I’m ashamed because I would have missed out on this great game and now that I’ve told you, don’t make the same mistake I almost made.
