Overall I think old and new fans alike would agree that the Atelier Dusk Trilogy Deluxe Pack gives you an appreciation for each game’s features, the shared world-building, and the improvements each installment contributes to the Dusk series.
Untitled Goose Game is an easy-going game that is super simplistic but also super fun. The slapstick humor is great and the objectives shouldn’t cause anyone much frustration. If you’re looking for a cute, easy, but fun game that’ll only take you a few hours to finish, check out Untitled...
Overall, I had a great time playing through Scarlet Grace, though it does have its flaws. The worldbuilding was some of the best I’ve ever seen in a video game, but the story suffered as a result.
Overall, I loved Slay the Spire and it definitely deserves the nomination for Fresh Indie Game at the Game Awards, which airs on December 12th. Historically, I’m not a fan of roguelike games, but Slay the Spire made me reconsider my position
Heroland
When all is said and done, Heroland ends up being a bit of a mixed bag. Charming graphics and a deep, uniquely enjoyable combat system are mired by obnoxious characters and a need to level grind. There is a lot to like about this game, just as long as you...
EarthNight
EarthNight is an okay game, great for passing the time. Its chiptune soundtrack draws you in, making you want to play more. Defeating dragons are satisfying but there’s nothing more to it than that.
Remnant: From the Ashes offers a healthy dose of punishing enemies while soothing a player's wounds with an adequate amount of storyline and interesting places to explore and characters to meet.
Kingdom Under Fire II embraced the long path of “development hell” and delivered a fun experience that should last for many years to come.
It strikes a nice balance between games like Dark Souls and Tomb Raider by implementing Star Wars elements to make the mechanics it’s own. If not for the occasionally bugged out enemy, slow texture loads, and lack of colorblind options, I would say it is near perfect.
Sparklite
Sparklite is an awesome pixelated adventure for fans of Link’s Awakening or those of the top-down genre. With its soothing and upbeat tunes, this is an amazing game to vibe out to with a dash of challenges.
Planet Zoo
I see and understand some of the frustrations from other players, but this game is just too good and has too much to offer to just be tossed aside this early in the game’s life. If you a fan of the simulation genre then I fully recommend Planet Zoo.
Afterparty
While Afterparty provides some charm and fun it was ultimately a let down for me.
