It is really hard not to be charmed by Smelter. Witnessing the anime-style opening cinematic that features protagonist Eve, ripped straight from the Garden of Eden and away from her paramour Adam, it’s clear a journey is afoot. Meeting and combining with a living and breathing suit of armour that talks (and helps...
NieR is a franchise with an interesting trajectory over the last decade. The original game released in 2010 and interestingly had two versions circling. To appeal more to Western audiences, players controlled a buff, brawny older character in the Gestalt version while Japan controlled a much younger version of the...

Originally founded by Lorne Lanning and Sherry McKenna, the Oddworld franchise has been around since 1997. Its story, lore, and visuals have come a long way since then,...
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV has been out in the West since 2020, but only on PS4. I imagine that most Trails fans will have purchased the game without delay on PS4, having had to wait for 2 years for its localisation. If you’re looking to...
Godstrike is a timely twist on the boss rush / bullet hell genre where time is your health bar. In this twin-stick shooter, you’ll take on a full roster of unforgiving bosses in stylized 3D arenas. You take control of Talaal, the last of the gods’ seven masks. She’s a...
Rain on Your Parade is a slapstick comedy game developed by Unbound Creations where you play as a mischievous cloud determined to ruin everybody’s day. It showcases a wide range of levels while unlocking new abilities and mechanics that get progressively more ridiculous. You’ll travel across the world, inventing new...
Ever played a game that’s charmed you and moved you so much that its entire experience is hard to fault? Before Your Eyes, a game all about exploring the fleeting memories in life, be it milestones or everyday interactions, was that game for me. Witnessing a tender moment on a beachside...
