The Uncharted series could have easily ended with Drake's Deception. The third entry in the series provided a sense of satisfying closure to the relationship of Nate and Sully, rekindled the matrimony of Nate and Elena, and effectively closed the door on Nate's obsession with his ancestry. While an imperfectly told story, it tied up…
Uncharted 4 is more than masterful, bearing the hallmarks of a true system seller. What struck me most as an ardent fans of the series is how much it breaks away from the original blueprint yet manages to amaze on every level. Where many studios step safely from one sequel and into the next, Naughty Dog has taken a gigantic leap, proving yet again they’re the best in the business.
If you can only play one game this year, it should be Uncharted 4. The pinnacle of the series, it offers that magical sense of discovering and jaw-dropping awe like no other game so far this generation.
Naughty Dog strikes gold once again. Here's our review of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End!
Those who want to dig deeper, however, will find a story that’s engaging, mechanics that are refined, animations that are technically excellent, and writing that’s mature but also playful. In every way the game feels like the perfect send-off to a beloved character and a major Sony mascot. Uncharted 4 is the best game of this generation, proving once again that Naughty Dog is filled with master storytellers and brilliant designers.
Are they going to kill off Drake? Is this the last in the series? Is the multiplayer going to be any good? These questions and more have been doing the rounds endlessly since Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End was confirmed.

The highly anticipated Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is finally here that combines elements of Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider into a spectacular third person
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is an action-packed adventure filled with some of the most intense sequences in video games today. Most importantly, it’s a shining example of what makes games unique from any other medium.
That the interpersonal relationships aren’t overshadowed by $400 million in pirate gold, or by hundreds of dead mercenaries, is a testament to the caliber of storytelling. Even the ways Uncharted 4 retrofits in previous entries in the series — Young Drake’s shirt in Uncharted 3 seems to be a hand-me-down from Young Sam in this one — to bring it all to a well-earned, cohesive conclusion is impressive. Stunning art direction; satisfying game feel; a willingness to shake up third-person action conventions, to know when to introduce variety, or let a foot up off the gas; excellent dialogue that reveals a lot without oversharing; and a heck of a conclusion. A thief couldn’t ask for a better end.
After a break of several years, Nathan Drake returns for his last great adventure. Does A Thief's End live up to expectations in Uncharted 4?
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection takes two already great action-adventure games (A Thief's End + The Lost Legacy) and brings them to PC with a satisfying suite of visual and control tweaks to maximise the fun.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is the swan song this series deserved. From stunning visuals, to awe inspiring set pieces, to grounded moments of weakness.
In Uncharted 4, Nathan Drake has left the world of fortune-hunting behind, but when Drake's brother, Sam, resurfaces, he offers an adventure that Drake can't resist.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is a remarkable achievement in blockbuster storytelling and graphical beauty. Though it’s let down by a lack of imagination and some self-indulgence, especially in a third act that drags on far too long, Uncharted 4 carries on the series’ proud tradition of peerless polish and style, with a great multiplayer component to boot. Most importantly, it’s a gentle sendoff to the rag-tag group of characters we’ve known for nine years. A worthy thief’s end, indeed.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is by far one of the best games I’ve played this year, and that list includes quite a few gems. It’s a brilliant Act 3 to the series, and it works extremely well to tie up all the loose ends that the games have made over the years, as well as offers up an outstanding third-person multiplayer experience you won't find anywhere else. But exactly whose end is it? Well, that’s something you’ll have to figure out yourself, as I wouldn’t want to spoil it for any of you reading this review. What I can say, however, is it is the best representation of the Uncharted series we have seen to date, and you’d be doing yourself a disservice if you didn’t experience it firsthand.
I've been a huge fan of Uncharted ever since its debut. Therefore, like millions of other fans, I couldn't wait to play through this final chapter. Now that I've finished it, I must say that I'm quite impressed even if it doesn't stray far from the familiar formula.
Thrills, chills, kills! The murder-mystery and betrayal in the killing game continues in the latest title in the series! With a new story, characters, and mini-games Danganronpa V3 has something for everybody whether your new or a veteran of the series!
It's a confident, assured, and rather more intelligent game than it first appears, and a strong end to the series.
“Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End brings the Uncharted series to this generation of players in a rich and fulfilling way.”
Despite a sluggish start and a lethargic ending, Naughty Dog’s final chapter is a safe and fitting end for PlayStation’s poster boy
In terms of giving the fans what they want, I’m certain Naughty Dog has nailed every part of the brief that it was given. Uncharted 4 shows a truly masterful eye for detail and is near perfect in mechanical execution. It’s also presented with cinematic brilliance. My issues with the game are less about it in isolation than it as representative to the broader AAA-blockbuster space. I am increasingly uncomfortable with the superficiality of these games, and the way that they work so hard to hide just how passive you are as a participant.
As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end, this is precisely the case with Uncharted 4, Naughty Dog was not shy about telling us that this game marks the end of Nathan Drake’s adventures and it is fitting. I have to admit there is an air of sadness entering Uncharted 4, having only just established a fandom to the series it is sad to see it leave so soon, but it is true all good things must come to an end. This may be the end to the adventures of a wonderful character but Naughty Dog has not short changed us and provided an unsatisfying journey, rather they have built an adventure that provides a fitting conclusion to Nathan Drake’s story. So now as we start to say goodbye let us relish in the true masterpiece that is Uncharted 4, and enter the search for treasure one final time.

I’m just only a bit disturbed with its 8-bit-ish water splash, but it didn’t affect my verdict for Uncharted 4. With its most compelling story, great soundtrack, improved AI and gameplay, and its glorious graphics, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is a game that gives you a fascinating ending story of Nathan Drake’s final adventure and an immersive cinematic experience unlike any other adventure game out there. If you own a PS4, don’t miss out what Uncharted 4 has to offer!
Nathan Drake’s final adventure is a riveting, edge-of-your-seat thrilling action experience that had my heart in my throat with each over-the-top, zany and perfectly choreographed sequence. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End takes all of the things we have loved about the previous games in the series and ramped it up, all with gorgeous graphics that honestly had my jaw dropping with every new location I visited during my quest around the world. Naughty Dog have, quite simply, outdone themselves, ...
