If you’ve been living under the surface of the planet with Mole Man (Harvey Rupert Elder) for the last few years, you may not have seen the hype surrounding
Marvel's Wolverine is a bloody, brutal saga that stays sharp, plays beautifully, and keeps you hooked all the way to the end.
Does Insomniac Games deliver a stunning superhero game on par or better than Marvel's Spider-Man, or is Marvel's Wolverine best forgotten?
A brutal, heartfelt Wolverine adventure with superb combat, stellar performances, great pacing, and spectacular presentation.
"Before setting out on revenge, first dig ten graves. Saves time later."
Marvel’s Wolverine has been one of my most anticipated games ever since Insomniac Games first revealed it. However, as excited as I was, I also had plenty of questions about whether the studio responsible for Marvel’s Spider-Man could successfully make the jump from Peter Parker and Miles Morales to a…

Marvel's Wolverine (PlayStation 5) Review – 8.5/10: Insomniac once again captures what works about a famous comic book superhero, but that makes this is a very different game from the studio's prior releases in the genre. - Game Informer
Marvel's Wolverine is a very different game from Insomniac's Spider-Man adaptations, but it shows the developer understands this hero, too.

Marvel's Wolverine is a solid game and an excellent one for a superhero game.
Marvel's Wolverine is a compelling superhero adventure, offering intense action and delightful character moments in equal measure.

Marvel's Wolverine is a brutal, bloody return to Insomniac Games' Marvel universe, and it does a great job of expanding the existing world and scope while telling a mature and exciting story.
Marvel's Wolverine Review - Insomniac's latest superhero PS5 exclusive is here, but does it exceed Spider-Man?
Marvel's Wolverine tackles the impossible task of bringing an unkillable killing machine to an interactive medium.
Logan’s first triple-A outing has some flaws, but brutal combat and a heartfelt story make it another standout Marvel game.
Sporting a level of polish that could put the sheen on Wolverine's adamantium death-dealers to shame, Sony and Insomniac's latest is another exceedingly pretty, single-player, story-driven epic that doesn't skimp on the production values. Supported by visceral, varied, and extremely violent melee combat, this set-piece-packed, cinema-rivaling spectacle puts you behind the claws – and mutton chops – of the fan-favorite superhero like never before. Soaking its stunning environments in buckets of blood never gets old, but the fighting mechanics do suffer from a lack of meaningful depth, while the lengthy, linear-to-a-fault campaign could benefit from more engaging optional activities and opportunities to explore.
Marvel's Wolverine is a standalone game centered around Wolverine with an emotional narrative and cutting-edge gameplay.
After years, Logan finally got the game he deserved. But something is a little off.
Just days before its official release, we were able to play Marvel’s Wolverine, the new title from Insomniac Games coming exclusively to PS5. Here is our full review.

Marvel's Wolverine Review - A Mutated Adventure
If you're in the mood for an action-packed game ripped straight from a comic then here's the visceral and super-fun Marvel's Wolverine.
Marvel's Wolverine | Review | Insomniac's latest effort starring Wolverine has arrived amidst mixed fortunes.
Marvel's Wolverine delivers brutal combat, a strong emotional story, excellent performances, and memorable set pieces. Some stealth and enemy variety issues...
Marvel's Wolverine offers a linear, action-driven experience with satisfying combat, great graphics, but uninspired side activities.
Arguably the biggest PlayStation first party release of the year, is this one worth its weight in Adamantium? Our Marvel's Wolverine Review:
Marvel's Wolverine relies heavily on its combat system, sacrificing virtually all other gameplay elements for the sake of combat. This is enough to provide decent entertainment, but it also leaves the feeling that the game has a lot of unrealized potential.
Wolverine lets loose in Insomniac's latest Marvel Superhero adventure. The story is enjoyable if not overstuffed, and the combat gives out as much as you want to put into it, though I do wish the bosses were less spongey. Check out our review!
Marvel's Wolverine, unlike other Insomniac titles, tells its story in a direct and linear fashion, utilizing visual tools that make sense within the context of Logan, but which, in terms of gameplay, negate the sense of discovery found in other games. The plot lacks potential, and its villains aren't very well executed, but in terms of movement and appearance, Wolverine doesn't hold back in showing his savage side, even if the Logan aspect is too noble—and inconsistent—for this world.
Despite the good presentation, the new PS5 exclusive exposes the weaknesses of the single-player formula, which has always been a benchmark on the platform.
Wolverine subverts any and all expectations...for better and for worse.
The makers of Marvel’s Spider-Man turn their hand to a very different kind of superhero, in a considerably more violent and less open world adventure.
Marvel's Wolverine puts players in Logan's shoes.
Marvel's Wolverine serves up a solid origin story, but it borrows a little too much from its predecessors instead of finding its own footing.
Surprisingly not up to Sony's usual first-party standard, but still a fun and violent time.
This is a turn-your-brain-off-and-go-for-a-ride spectacle that occasionally punches above its weight. That works to some extent, but Marvel’s Wolverine doesn’t live up to the creative standard Insomniac Games is known for, and Logan has never been known for playing it safe.
Marvel's Wolverine is a surprisingly average game let down by basic combat, a messy story and the whelming feeling it could have all been a lot better
Wolverine's characterisation is a bright spot in this otherwise underwhelming old-school romp that mostly reminds us how far action games have come. Our review.
Marvel's Wolverine's slick and satisfying combat wears thin well before its conclusion, so much so that even its strong character work can't quite save it from being anything more than okay.
Insomniac’s latest is a visual stunner, but the gameplay doesn’t measure up…
