Dishonored 2
Dishonored 2 is a first-person action video game and the sequel to Dishonored. It borrows many of the gameplay elements from the first opus: players define their own play style by blending action, assassination, stealth, mobility and combat. Combining tools at their disposal, players are allowed options to eliminate enemies, whether they choose to ...

Dishonored 2 is a huge triumph, managing to achieve the lofty goal of outdoing its predecessor in almost every way. But it’s an experience that must be played right to be enjoyed right. This isn’t a game that will be enjoyed by constantly saving and reloading to avoid detection. It’s an experience that works best when you’re constantly improvising with the numerous number of tools and powers at your disposal. It’s a game that can be played violently with little form and function or played silently and methodically. It’s the embodiment of the oft misused concept of “player choice”. And that’s w...
Dishonored 2 refines the gameplay of the first while delivering a predictable storyline that is held up by the outstandingly crafted world it is set in.
Dishonored 2 was a pain in the ass to get running initially, but once I did, I was able to settle in for a really fun and rewarding adventure. It's a fantastic sequel that does a great job of building on the strengths of the first game and providing a few new wrinkles that make the game feel as fresh as the first one did a few years ago.
Dishonored 2 is a safe sequel. Based on a proven formula, it does not introduce a revolution in the gameplay mechanics, but also offers some minor novelties. It's just a shame about the unused potential in terms of the plot.
For a while I was trying to work out whether Dishonored 2 was a great game because it’s just more Dishonored, or is it actually better on its own terms? A large portion of what makes Dishonored 2 such a compelling game is indeed down to the foundation, but overall yes, it is better than Dishonored. The storyline has less twists but is much more compelling, the choices are much wider and more open so each one is equally satisfying, and most importantly: Dishonored 2 has some of the best leve...
Set 15 years after the original, Corvo Attano and Emily Kaldwin face a new threat- a woman claiming to be Emily's aunt and rightful heir to the throne. Before long, she's in charge, and Corvo and Emily become, once again, dishonored.
Dishonored 2 is a functional follow-up to a classic that is mired by the addition of all sorts of unnecessary elements.
When Dishonored was first announced in 2012, I never imagined it would join the ranks of my favourite games. The gameplay, characters, and setting captured my heart and never let go. The city of Dunwall became one of the most memorable video-game settings I’d ever come across. Dishonored’s tale of revenge might be predictable or lacking to some, but the enjoyment I gained from its distinct art style and masterful gameplay is undeniable.
Dishonored 2 left me with a desire for more levels and targets, but it also left me thinking about the world outside of the game. It may seem like a stretch to call a video game where you play as a magic wielding assassin to come out at the right time during the election season. But it did come out at the right time. It says a lot about the way leaders govern and the divisions it causes amongst large groups of people. There’s a balancing act when it comes to power and no matter what, it will tip people towards hope or cynicism. Dishonored 2’s Chaos meter is maybe an appropriate way to look a...
Jakob: Dishonored 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to Arkane Studio’s initial masterpiece in 2012, and I am glad to say that it doesn’t disappoint. Set fifteen years after the events of Dishonored, Corvo has successfully restored Emily to the throne after being framed for her mother’s murder and Dunwall has seemingly flourished under her rule. That being said, a gruesome series of murders, conducted by the “Crown Killer”, has been targeting Emily’s enemies, leading many of t...
