Dead Island 2
Dead Island 2 doesn't pretend to be anything other than a daft, messy romp through undead LA, and this carefree, capricious attitude is precisely what makes it fun.
Wartales
Turn a bunch of generic mercenaries into your absolute best buds.
Ravenbound
Ravenbound spreads its roguelite ambitions across an island too big for its own good.
The Settlers: New Allies begins promisingly, with a lush new setting and satisfying construction. But its hallmark production systems sorely lack depth, while its RTS combat adds little of value.
High on Life
Squanch Games' sci-fi shooter is a yammering mess of mediocrity.
Ixion
Ixion elegantly balances the dynamic play of a colony simulation with a grand, meticulously directed sci-fi narrative. Its perilous journey through a cold and dangerous universe is vivid and engrossing, although its complex routines occasionally obstruct its storytelling ambitions.
Like the dubious heroes at the centre of its story, Modern Warfare 2’s campaign is murky, methodical, and effective. It features everything you’d expect from a Modern Warfare campaign: globetrotting adventures, spectacular set-pieces, and an uneasy relationship with real-world military affairs. An extraordinarily detailed economy and range of interlinking systems make Victoria 3 a grand strategy to rival some of Paradox's best.
Dual Universe
Incredibly ambitious and equally unwieldy, Dual Universe is a challenging space sim in every sense of the word.
Prodeus
Bounding Box delivers an anachronistic high-wire act, and the perhaps the best shooter outright since Doom Eternal.
A mostly good port of a mostly good game
Hard West 2
A tough yet rewarding turn-based tactics game with a supernatural twist on the western.
