Valkyria Revolution serves as a solid action RPG with an intriguing storyline and great cast of characters but bad gameplay design choices and terribly long cutscenes hamper the experience.

Tekken 7 delivers everything that the fans would expect from the series with just enough modifications to the fighting mechanics and a nice array of new and returning fighters to test their mettle against in both single player and multiplayer match-ups.

Telltale Games had a difficult task ahead of them but Tangled Up in Blue proves that at least so far they have set up a satisfying start to a new series with a solid hook and most of what made the cast endearing to begin with.

Mass Effect: Andromeda sets itself apart from the original trilogy by delivering a fascinating new galaxy to explore with a refined combat system and new focus on exploration but is plagued with frequent bugs, poor AI, and a lackluster supporting cast of characters.

Persona 5 is a must play for fans of the JRPG genre that delivers an amazing storyline tied together with excellent gameplay mechanics.

Toukiden 2 may still be a bit repetitive and falter in certain story elements but features a highly refined and fast paced combat system that will be a delight to anyone looking for a hunting game.

Fans of the Atelier series will find a number of new mechanics to enjoy along with plenty of familiar elements but unfortunately the new journey and fresh faces that they’ll find in Atelier Firis fall below the series’ standards.

Although Nioh may initially seem like a copycat, it does more than enough to stand on its own and outshine other games of its type in many ways making it one of the best action games you can play this year.
