This is truly one heck of a fighting game. Fighters I must confess are my least liked genre but this latest version of SC has got me hooked. It is genuine
With robust single-player offerings, as well as a fast paced and dynamic fighting system, Soulcalibur VI represents the best the series has been for a long time. It has a great and diverse roster of characters, and Geralt fits right into the world too. It’s just a little bit of a shame that it’s missing a few things from previous games. Despite this, Soulcalibur VI is easily the best Soulcalibur game and one of the best 3D fighters you can play right now.
SoulCalibur VI is an addictive and satisfying fighter, and more importantly the strongest the series has been in years
Gorgeous newb-friendly duelling in a package that's slightly lacking.

The tale of swords and souls has been resurrected from the ashes. Revisit the classic scenarios behind those in search of salvation, power, or revenge, that make up the franchise's lore in Soulcalibur VI. Discover new perspectives and untold history along with it. The most cinematic experience the Soul series has ever told awaits.
While the series has been noticeably silent for nearly half a decade, Soul Calibur VI still brings with it the same addictive gameplay its always been known for, while also feeling a bit dry in its various modes and online offerings.

My first experience with SOULCALIBUR was back in the days of the Sega Dreamcast. Developer Namco had a tight relationship with Sony at the time and as a result Tekken was not heading the direction of the Sega Saturn or N64 no matter how badly we wanted them. SOULCALIBUR on the other hand somehow ended up as a Dreamcast exclusive. Finally, a Namco fighting game on a system I owned. It was great, dare I say even better than Sega AM2’s own Virtua Fighter 3. It looked better, played better and ...
If that’s you, I can’t blame you. You could buy a smelly armchair from Greg down the road for £50, and you’d probably get just as much adrenaline and challenge from getting that into your third floor apartment as you would fighting another terrifying Voldo to the death. But the moment this goes on sale, friend, the very moment it drops its guard – you slice open your wallet and let it bleed. Because you’ll never have a friend like Hooves.
The music in SoulCalibur VI successfully captures the feeling of adventure and fantasy that SoulCalibur is all about, as does the over-the-top voice-acting that suits the series so well. The narrator/announcer is as hammy as ever, which I consider to be an essential part for any SoulCalibur game.
