Witchfire
Witchfire looks like it might set a new example of what the Roguelike genre should be instead of what it’s turning into. While it can be extremely unforgiving, that’s also what’s at the heart of being a Roguelike.
Boti: Byteland Overclocked isn’t a massive grand adventure but a short and sweet romp through more concise levels. You should treat it more like the 3D stages of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time than an open sprawl like Super Mario Odyssey.
As a newer studio with not a lot of funds to go around, Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle is an improvement over the first title. I was able to tell the passion they had for Resident Evil throughout while still staying true to their own vision.
Agatha Christie - Hercule Poirot: The London Case is a fun addition to the murder mystery genre and plays true to the source material with plenty of parlour room scenes that the player helps create.
Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew seems to be another masterpiece from Mimimi Games and embodies their core values down to the last. You’ll get to live the life of a pirate from a top-down perspective and explore the various different islands.
Sengoku Dynasty has not hit close to its full potential but can become as big as its brethren, the Medieval Dynasty, with enough love and care from the team at Superkami.
F1 Manager 2023 is a neat take on the sports management genre. It has enough systems and complexity to appeal to anyone that got a kick out of the Football Manager series.
Atlas Fallen
Atlas Fallen might be Deck13 Interactive’s crowning achievement with its story-rich and narrative-driven environment combined with the Soulslike aspects in combat.
Remnant II
Remnant II is a brilliantly unforgiving game that can and likely will go extremely far, which is what makes it so great.
Jagged Alliance 3 seems to have been completely redone. It’s well worth it in the end for the story, brilliant visuals, hilarious commentary, and the fun change of pace in gameplay while getting a fair amount of brain exercise at the same time.
Testament: The Order of High Human is one hell of an achievement of a game made by a team of 15 people. It has all the best parts of the RPG genre with some new features that just keep you coming back for more.
