Total War: Warhammer III is the best Total War has ever been, period. The sheer scale of it all is truly awe inspiring, which makes the attention every little detail receives all the more astounding.

Total War has been striving to capture this feeling of Epic iteration after iteration and looking to a historical context for inspiration. But it's the realm of fantasy, the Warhammer universe and its wonderful storytelling, where I think the formula has found its true home. This is probably the best Total War game to date, and certainly the best Warhammer game. Put together the two make wonderful companions. Some of the minutiae of the campaign can be a bit of a slog, but the real artistic genius of this game is when the lore of Warhammer becomes the brush to paint broad strokes across the ca...

Overall, Total War: Warhammer is both a fantastic addition to the Total War series, and to Warhammer in video games as a whole. A must for strategy fans, the title delivers a stunning high fantasy setting alongside thrilling large-scale battles and complex yet enjoyable empire building. Near-perfect, the game is most likely the best Warhammer video game to date, and one could even argue that it is also the best Total War game to ever be released.

Total War: Warhammer provides a fresh take on two of the most compelling strategy and tactical franchises in history, creating an excellent mash-up that's well worth your time.

Total War: Warhammer 3 is a uniquely complex game, mildly overwhelming with the diversity of features and options it offers, each adding their own nuances to gameplay. Any strategy or RPG lover will find something to enjoy in this game, from memorable cast of characters to massive army battles and sieges.

A fantastic addition to any Asur or Druchii player.

On a purely technical scale it’s impressive, watching thousands of units battle it out in what are mostly gorgeous backdrops. It’s something the Total War series always excelled in, and it’s especially fun to watch in the fantasy nature of Warhammer. In terms of pure graphical fidelity, it’s less impressive. While there have been an array of improvements in terms of environments and animations, it’s still quite repetitive in terms of assets used.

Taking the familiar end-game in a much needed new direction and introducing four new races, Total War: Warhammer 2 is packed with fresh content, with more yet to come. Although some of the additions are more annoying than engaging, the overall experience delivers strategy and style in spades. A must-have for Warhammer tabletop players and Total War fans alike.

The series reaches new heights by giving tabletop geeks a sigh of relief.

Total War: Warhammer is more like that starting set you get in the tabletop, you start with it, you play it to death then you start expanding and getting the other parts of the game. It is a good base which more can be built and expanded upon, and with the planned list of expansions being very long and the active modding community, there is no doubt the game will eventually get to be a great game.

Total War: Warhammer just feels right in most every way, even if it can get slow or frustrating at times. Despite a few annoying caveats and some performance issues, most of the game’s features are enjoyable, enticing and immersive. The combat is awe-inspiring, even if some moments can defy logic, and the expansive world is ripe for the conquering, assuming you have the patience. If you enjoy any strategy or fantasy games at all, I’d be sure to check this title out.

Total War: Warhammer is probably the best that the Total War series has ever been. Replacing traditional historical elements with the fantastical setting of the Warhammer universe has breathed new life into a series that has struggled with innovation in recent years. While existing fans of the series surely won’t be disappointed by this game, it may have limited appeal to a broader audience. Although combining turn-based strategy with real time tactical battles offers good variety, the ...
