In summary, NBA 2K27 is still very much just another NBA 2K. The City is back, MyCAREER is bigger, MyTEAM wants another chunk of your free time and MyNBA continues to offer enough depth to disappear into for weeks. But underneath all that familiarity, the gameplay has taken a meaningful step with a stronger emphasis on defense and contact feeling more physical. Shooting also demands better timing, and the new offensive tools give skilled players more ways to create space without simply overpowering the defender.
