Minecraft Dungeons II delivers satisfying loot & fun co-op on Xbox Series X, though simple combat and late-game freezes hold it back a little, not enough though

Review: Minecraft Dungeons II builds on the formula set out by the first game, with a bigger and better template.
Minecraft Dungeons II is a well tuned sequel, taking everything that the first game got right, and expanding, revising and improving on it.
Minecraft Dungeons 2 evolves what its predecessor began in a lot of fantastic ways, making it a great, accessible ARPG.
Minecraft Dungeons II is the next chapter in the action/RPG series, introducing new locations, enemies, and high-stakes encounters across the Minecraft universe.

Minecraft is returning to mazes, but now in a more complex rework very close to the big action RPG games.
Minecraft Dungeons II turned a reviewer who had avoided every Minecraft game on principle into a believer, thanks to a surprisingly engaging story, a deep gear system, and combat that turns out to be far more than button-mashing.
Minecraft Dungeons 2 is a smart evolution of its ARPG predecessor, with plenty of loot to chase in its gorgeous new dimension, the Sift.
Minecraft Dungeons II is an action role-playing game accessible to all types of players, introducing substantial improvements over its predecessor. These include the transition to an interconnected open world, the addition of the Sift dimension, expanded equipment options, and improved boss battle design. Minecraft Dungeons 2 is a stripped back but enjoyable dungeon crawler that is well-judged distillation of a genre that has become increasingly complex and disrespectful of player time. Read our PS5 review for the full lowdown!
Minecraft Dungeons II (Xbox Series X/S) Review – 7.25/10: Minecraft Dungeons II is a straightforward, entry-level action-RPG that proves this spin-off franchise can stand on its own and improve with subsequent entries. - Game Informer
Minecraft Dungeons 2 is an enjoyable dungeon-crawling romp, especially with friends. And by that, I mean local friends, not online ones.
Minecraft Dungeons 2 takes undeniable steps forward with a fully interconnected Overworld, much-needed mobility upgrades, and a visually striking new dimension that teases the franchise's future. However, despite a deeper loot system and smart quality-of-life changes, the core experience doesn't step out of its comfort zone quite enough to convert anyone who wasn't already a fan. Ultimately, it remains a highly polished, accessible "Diablo for kids" that existing fans will adore, even if it leaves hardcore ARPG veterans wanting more.
Minecraft Dungeons II stands out for its action-packed gameplay and explorable open world, but it has few upgrades and persistent bugs.
Despite competent combat, Minecraft Dungeons 2 fails to bring enough variety to the table to justify its inflated world and runtime. Fundamentally, this is more Minecraft Dungeons and will appeal to those who enjoyed the first game or want an easy on-ramp into the ARPG genre. If you’re just excited for more Minecraft, I recommend the original flavour.
Minecraft Dungeons 2 is one of the safest sequels on the market today, sometimes to its own detriment.
Minecraft Dungeons II is an action-RPG that's basically a Diablo-lite, rather than the Dragon Quest Builders type of game one might expect.
This shallow sequel provides some peaceful button mashing, but does little to stand out.

Mojang and Double Eleven's latest action RPG foray feels unfulfilling, uninspired, unenthusiastic, and ultimately, unrewarding.
