The Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is a bundle of delightful RPGs, with combat that feels fresh and fun even by modern standards.
Adds a lot to improve the experience for these 20-year-old games, and it helps that the games themselves really hold up.
Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection | Review | All versions of the Mega Man Star Force games in one intriguing collection.
If there is any gaming IP living heavily on nostalgia, it is Mega Man. To date, most of the main series, side series, and spin offs have found their way onto modern consoles through various legacy collections. Do not get me wrong, as a huge fan of spin offs like Mega Man Battle Network, I think that is great. What I did not expect, though, was for the Nintendo DS-exclusive Mega Man Star Force games to receive the same treatment.
Get ready for a blast from the past, the Mega Man Star Force action/RPG series from 2006 is celebrating its 20th anniversary with Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection, bundling all seven games from the three mainline titles.
Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is a stellar collection of some of Mega Man's often-forgotten adventures that, despite some shortcomings, feels excellent to play with modern QoL features and other additions.
Find what's new in Capcom's latest Mega Man collection, and whether the Nintendo DS series deserves a comeback with the Star Force Legacy Collection.
The best way to play as the most underrated version of the Blue Bomber.
With a lot of customization options, Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection allows you to enjoy these seven RPGs on your own terms.
With two excellent entries and even the disappointing second game, each providing slightly different versions, not to mention the game's online component, it truly gives players a decent amount here to really enjoy. While Battle Network will always be my preferred Mega Man Spin-off, Star Force nonet
The Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection instantly becomes the best way to play these games due to the quality of life improvements, cost, and ease. Despite not being the most popular subset of Mega Man games, the level of care put into the collection makes it easy to enjoy. For Mega Man fans or Battle Network fans, this is an easy recommendation. It’s surprisingly uncommon that collections improve an experience while keeping faithful to the originals, but this one does just that.
Almost 20 years ago, a new series debuted starring the iconic blue bomber and Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is here to celebrate it.
Capcom's latest Legacy Collection rescues a forgotten DS trilogy from obscurity and gives it the best possible home. Whether that trilogy deserved rescuing is highly questionable.

Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection continues Capcom’s streak of remasters, this time bringing attention to a somewhat overlooked era of Mega Man.
This being a Legacy Collection brings up the question of Star Force’s legacy. While not bad games, the series is more continuation than evolution of the previous series, especially in presentation, story, and age range. Star Force 3 was also the direct predecessor to the somewhat ongoing Mega Man drought. While the perfect cure for a shonen anime friendship speech craving, Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection feels a bit interchangeable with what came before.
Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection brings the DS trilogy back to life with enhancements and extra content, in a format perfect for nostalgia lovers.
Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection bundles up a whole series of action-RPGs and adds some valuable extras and enhancements. But while exisiting fans and those who love the Battle Network series will likely lap it up, newcomers might find it all a little too dated.
The spring release of Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection on the Nintendo Switch surely delighted those who grew up with these games. Bundling the DS trilogy
Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is a faithful and feature-complete revival of the original games, but its appeal leans heavily on nostalgia. The quality-of-life additions are welcome, yet they do little to elevate a gameplay loop that now feels overly simple and repetitive.
If there is a Mega Man game out there, chances are, I’ve played it, and this one is no exception. We have another Legacy Collection from Capcom, and this time, it features Mega Man Star Force, the sequel to the highly popular Mega Man Battle Network series. As always, with…
Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection brings three of the iconic Capcom mascot's most niche titles. Star Force continues the tradition that started with 2001's Battle Network, combining card-based combat with light RPG elements and exploration. The games themselves have aged rather poorly, with somewhat basic combat and a game world that is determined to tell you what to do at every turn. So long as you don't mind dealing with some oddball design choices and long-winded stories, you could get a lot of enjoyment out of this unique, albeit flawed, Mega Man card game.
Even though the combat can feel a bit repetitive over time, its unique mix of action and card-based mechanics still offers something distinct within the series. The accompanying anime, which is freely available online through official channels, also adds extra context and helps flesh out the world and characters, making the overall package feel more complete.
Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection Review - Capcom delivers on restoring cult-classics with a new modern HD refresh for modern platforms.
The Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is a top-notch gathering of Mega Man DS games that never fully got their due. The games themselves are great, the remaster features are fantastic upgrades, and the bonus content is delightfully informative. If you never played the Mega Man Star Force games, this is easily the best way to go through them.
