LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is the best love letter to Batman we’ve ever seen. The way it handles the history of the World's Greatest Detective is incredible. With great combat mechanics, a fun and fantastical story that gives the cornerstone eras their turn, this is, hands down, the best LEGO game to date.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight arrives with the kick-ass confidence of Batman taking on his entire rogues' gallery, and after a few bumpy years at TT
A stitched-together Gotham that blends Arkham-inspired gameplay with LEGO charm and decades of Batman history.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is the perfect love letter to the Caped Crusader, with fun gameplay, great writing, and tons of surprises every step of the way.
A fantastic celebration of Batman's Legacy, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight serves as the ultimate love letter to Gotham's protector.
Even though he’s typically the most serious member of the Justice League, Batman is, as we’ve seen over the years, pretty silly. Adam West climbing up buildings and thwacking and thwocking his way through bad guys? Silly. Val Kilmer in a batsuit with nipples? Silly. Ben Affleck having a shouting match with Superman about the name Martha? Very silly.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a humorous take on the Dark Knight Trilogy, with a sizable recreation of Gotham City built-for-fun.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is easily the best LEGO game to date, as well as one of the best Batman installments ever.
I feel like the LEGO game formula is mostly self-explanatory. They take a well-known franchise, give it the LEGO treatment, work in plenty of gags and humor, and then let you loose in a world that is both homage and satire of the original property. It’s a solid recipe, and it has proven successful for many years now. What really makes it interesting is that the pattern is so well-established, and we have seen so many of these games released, that LEGO titles can now be measured against each other and have become a genre unto themselves.
The advertising for Legacy of the Dark Knight described it as the definitive Batman story. While the story might not be definitive, the game is definitely one of the best Batman experiences of all time. LEGO Batman is packed with so much love and care that any kind of Batman fan can appreciate it. Everything about the game carries an infectious joy that can make someone smile harder than the Joker.
A fresh LEGO Batman adventure that blends charm, nostalgia, and open-world heroics into the Dark Knight comeback fans need.
Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight takes everything folks know about Batman from popular culture and filters it through the tried-and-true Lego formula. Whether you're a fan of Batman or Lego games, there's a lot to love in this charming adventure.
Even with my dissatisfaction with stealth and some minor glitches, the latest LEGO Batman is a rain-slicked success.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Review - You Have Eaten Well
LEGO Batman: Legacy Of The Dark Knight is a brand-new action/adventure videogame inviting players to embark on an epic journey to become the hero of Gotham City.
The new adventure, built from the blocks of the popular building set, presents the legendary bat hero very well.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a witty, brilliantly affectionate celebration of Caped Crusader history that masterfully balances sharp satire with fluid, Arkham-inspired combat.
The title turns Gotham City into an amusement park for Batman fans.
LEGO Batman: The Dark Knight's Legacy | Mechanics from Rocksteady's Arkham series infuse TT Games' LEGO adventure.
LEGO Batman: The Dark Knight Legacy is a gem: it feels so well made it feels like a new chapter in the Arkham series!
There are a couple of Arkham games better than this, but also a couple that are worse.
LEGO Batman: Dziedzictwo Mrocznego Rycerza bierze na warsztat filmy o obrońcy Gotham i wyciąga z nich to, co najlepsze. Efekt to pełna nostalgicznych momentów gra z prostym, choć (zazwyczaj) gwarantującym satysfakcję gameplayem.
Of all the open world experiences available on Nintendo Switch 2, WB and Travelers Tales’ Lego Batman: Legacy of The Dark Knight was perhaps my most
Once upon a time, back in the distant 2011 or so, I got a disk with the first Lego Batman game. The characters back then couldn’t talk, they just gestured, and it was a certain
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a great love letter to the Caped Crusader. Certainly, the story adapts the movies at the expense of the comic source material, the gameplay is a near replica of the Arkham games, and there are numerous technical issues and limited content. However, the story's overall charm, the fun gameplay, and the numerous costumes and Batmobiles to chew into mean that this is a must-play for hardcore Batman fans and younger audiences alike.
Does TT Games pull off its largest LEGO game yet or is LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight a legacy best relegated to the shadows?
This latest adventure coalesces Batman's finest moments into one LEGO-sized adventure. Should you go and hit the Batman bricks or will you engage a bat blocker?
TT Games' Legacy of the Dark Knight is a smooth and fun combo of the Arkham games and the LEGO universe, which takes you through the story of how Bruce Wayne became the Dark Knight. With fun visuals, a story that feels like a DC geek wrote it from his mom's basement, and fluid combat, this game will won over even the biggest Marvel fans.
Featuring sharp writing, accessible gameplay, and plenty of discovery opportunities, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is another strong entry in the LEGO franchise perfect for younger players.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a wonderful homage to the history of the franchise. Fans of Batman are in for a treat, as each moment references iconic elements from the movies, comics, video games, and television while piecing together its own story. While the difficulty is low, every aspect of the gameplay is delivered with care, making this an engaging adventure. Charming and confident, this tribute breathes new life into Gotham.
Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a love song to the enduring legacy and decades-long adventures of the Caped Crusader, offering great fun for all the family. Newly added combat mechanics, difficulty levels, and a slimmer roster of characters with unique skills make for a well-rounded gameplay experience. However, most of all, it made me want to play Batman: Arkham instead.
It’s been 11 years since Rocksteady released a fully-fledged Batman game, not including VR side projects or Suicide Squad spin-offs. But if you’ve got an Arkham-sized hole in your life, Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight should call to you like a Bat-Signal.
Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is an endless parade of references and gags that's difficult to resist. Our review.
Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is easily TT Games' best work since the golden age of Indiana Jones and Marvel Super Heroes.
A strong open-world Gotham and trademark slapstick humour powers a fantastic plastic parody of the Caped Crusader's greatest hits. Our review of Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.
An authentic love of Batman, great humour and slick writing make this the best Batman game since the series that inspired it…
Every Batman game that comes out for the rest of eternity will be measured against the Arkham titles, and Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight knows it
Gotham had been waiting for this for a while. Since Arkham Knight's farewell in 2015, Batman seemed doomed to wander through lackluster games, unable to recapture the spark that had forged the myth. For its part, TT Games desperately needed to rediscover itself. The latest LEGO games were dragging along a formula worn to a frazzle, like a CW series that stretched on for ten years.
Batman is back with the most complete game ever. Yet LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight feels far from the definitive version. Read the review now!
Describing a game as "a love letter" to something is a cliché, but the truth is, there's no better way to describe this work than as "a love letter to Batman's history." Fans of the character will enjoy a fun journey through the cinematic history of the Dark Knight, filled with entertaining puzzles and plenty of objects to find. However, those who haven't seen the movies might not forgive the numerous technical issues, the repetitive combat system, or the many minor flaws.
So no, I did not like LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. A game that uses the Batman license to upsell you DLC, costumes and references the second you boot up the game. Did you know you get special costumes if you link your HBO Max account to the game? Like a rube I did of course, and sure my Black Lantern batman looks very cool. For five seconds. Each night I went back in and hoped that this time the game would click for me. But it never did. In fact its aspirations kept running into the flimsy ground it was built upon. If anything I kept lamenting what we lost in Rocksteady and Batman g…
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight offers a celebration of over 80 years of Batman history. While its ambition may not be fully realised with a few technical hiccups, it feels like the title is appropriate in all the ways that matter.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is extremely ambitious in scope compared to previous LEGO/mega-IP combos, and it succeeds tremendously in nearly everything it has set out to accomplish. The result is a version of Gotham that is a blast to explore, and is also stuffed to the brim with fun activities to complete long after the credits roll on the main story. The narrative plays it a little safe, but also functions as a Greatest Hits compilation of some of the Caped Crusader's best adventures spun out and connected together in highly enjoyable ways. If you love LEGO, Batman, or simply having a good time with a video game, this is a very strong and easy recommendation.
Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight comes with all the Batman fun without any Batman baggage — you can jump right in without worrying about catching up on any plot. Jay Weaver reviews.
At the end of the day, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is the most genuine fun and laughter I’ve had with a game in months. It is partly a sharp parody of iconic superhero lore, partly pure fun, and at the same time extremely accessible for kids. While the gameplay occasionally borrows heavily from other major open-world games, the combination of a richly atmospheric Gotham, the frequent fun and giggles, improved combat, and insane attention to detail results in an exceptionally strong package overall. For both young and old alike, this is an incredibly enjoyable game that proves the…
Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a successful reinvention of the tired and bloated Lego series. A slimmer adventure, with a focused roster of characters and a new take on the old movie-recreation formula, makes for a fresh and exciting outing that is one of the best Lego games in years and a pretty great Batman experience.
The next big Lego game from TT Games is for all you Arkham City fans out there
