The second I saw the trailer for ITTA, I immediately thought to myself this was an indie darling on the making. I had no idea why, but I was instantly intrigued by its mixture of hardcore bullet-hell shooting mechanics with a somber world to explore, as well as its themes centered around overcoming personal struggles. Maybe it was the mesh between a genre I love and themes that always hit so close to home to basically any of us. Regardless, I have now finally managed to play it, and I guess m...

ITTA’s not a game-changing masterpiece, but it has tight design and wonderfully crafted aesthetics in a world of hope, despair, and bullet-hell.

ITTA feels like a game made for the hardcore, bullet-hell obsessives out there that’s friendly for less hardcore players who want to experience the story. It’s short, and not quite perfect on Switch, but it’s a strong game nonetheless.

ITTA is a game about contrasts. It is partly a hectic boss rush action game with strong bullet hell shooter elements, and partly a tranquil isometric walking simulator with some light puzzle solving. The 18 total bosses each present a unique and satisfying challenge, and if you find any of them too daunting, you can increase your damage by 2x or even turn on invulnerabi...

ITTA may not quite hit the levels its obvious ambition aspired to, but it still provides an enjoyable weekend distraction for bullet-hell fans.

The bullet hell genre has a new member, and her name is ITTA! Uncover the mystery surrounding the lone girl's awakening, the corpses of her family and pet cat lay beside her. Nothing is familiar, and it's hard to feel anything. Where, or what, is this eerily tranquil new existence?
