If this game sounds a familiar, that's because it’s had two other incarnations on previous Nintendo consoles (3DS, Wii U) and now it's time for Switch owners
Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition is the best version of the Legend of Zelda hack-and-slash experience. While it does suffer from some problems the original versions had, the plentiful amount of content mixed with entertaining gameplay and colorful cast of characters make this a legend the hero of time would love.
If you missed out on the Wii U Hyrule Warriors, I’d more than suggest buying the Definitive Edition here on Switch. Not only is it one of the best Warriors spin-offs to date, but chances are you’re a Zelda fan if you own the Switch and it’s just a great spinoff of Link’s adventures altogether. Can it get repetitive? Sure, but that’s the nature of Action RPGs like this – Warriors games are essentially 3rd-Person Diablos without the loot hunt. Playing coop is a joy, the Adventure Mo...
Hyrule Warriors comes to the Switch, after appearing on both the Nintendo Wii U and 3DS. Exactly how definitive is this release? We find out.
Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition combines the best of both versions of the game, providing ridiculous amounts of content that any Zelda fan would swoon over.
If you’re a fan of the Warriors format and Zelda games then Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Editionis an essential purchase. Those who have already played its predecessors to exhaustion, however, may find that it considerably less so. Sure, it has got nicer visuals and a couple of extra costumes, but that’s about it. Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition is really meant for those who, like me, missed out on the previous versions. And for us, it’s a fantastic package.
A fully-featured port of the Zelda and Dynasty Warriors crossover that augments repetitive hack n’ slash gameplay with a hefty dose of quality fanservice.
Hyrule Warriors marries the best aspects of the musuo genre with a love for Zelda and visual and performance improvements for a solid, if simple, romp through Hyrule.
The best bang for your rupee. It's been nearly four years since the original release of Hyrule Warriors on the Wii U, and since that time [...]
Hyrule Warriors, on the Nintendo Switch, is the third time that I have played the title, and frankly, the phrase "third time's the charm" is the perfect way to describe this latest and most definitive version.
It seems like just yesterday that Hyrule Warriors was originally released on WiiU in 2014. It was practically a love letter to Legend of Zelda, with playable characters and levels from every era across the franchise all brought together in a zany action hack-and-slash with hundreds of hours worth of gameplay. It received positive reviews across the board for its massively fun combo strings, gorgeous visual style, and Zelda references everywhere you looked. Thanks to its success, Hyrule warri...
