End of Abyss is a creepy adventure whose charm takes time to settle in. The dark atmosphere heightens the experience, making you fearful yet curious about what comes next. The difficulty is just right, and you won't run out of resources, letting you control enemy situations as you like. It's not perfect, and there are some frustrating aspects. But the negatives are far outweighed by the positives, and it's an immersive experience that will be hard to put down.

End of Abyss is an adventure that is both difficult and satisfying, combining stunning graphics with some rather unpleasant visuals and offering a carefully designed exploration facility.
End of Abyss delivers striking visuals, unsettling enemy designs, and an enjoyable scanner mechanic. Its twin-stick controls are a novel idea, but they reinforce the action while the survival horror takes a back seat. Combined with progress-halting bugs and repeated backtracking, it left me wanting to finish rather than keep exploring.
Hardcore Metroidvania fans will find elements of End of Abyss appealing, but its struggles with exploration rewards and shallow combat hold it back from finding light in its darkness.
