But mostly, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 looks, sounds and feels like Dragon Ball Z. Voices are spot-on, cinematic are true to the original and the battles are epic. A few characters are way too wordy, but so is the source material, so I’ll give it a pass. This is a love letter to Dragon Ball Z, and anyone who ever enjoyed the show will find something fun here. Just make sure to bring some friends.
Becoming a Super Saiyan is something that I would wish for if I had access to a set of Dragon Balls, but that's never going to happen. Luckily for me and many
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is a competent port on the Nintendo Switch. While it has obvious stutter in the online lobby and the framerate doesn’t match that of its rivaling consoles, being able to play in handheld mode with little difference in quality is a plus and will help you tackle the game’s expansive list of content from anywhere.
While not a huge fan of Dragon Ball in general, I can say that I'm a fan of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 on the Switch. It does have its flaws. Namely with the camera and some of the training. Plus the combat can get repetitive as you mash out the same combos, at least in the early going. But I can definitely say that I found a Dragon Ball game that I can enjoy coming back to from time to time.
Reliving the events of the Dragon Ball Z timeline couldn’t be any more fun, but at the same time, the first quarter of the game feels like a direct copy and paste of the original Dragon Ball Xenoverse.
Overall, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for Nintendo Switch is a fun game which works well when you get over the steep learning curve of fighting the game’s controls. Playing through the entirety of the DBZ story is a blast, and while some design flaws persisted to the port to the Switch, the game is still worth a play if you are a fan of the series.

One of the problems with the world of Nintendo consoles is the number of ports that start flooding the system and this time it's for the Switch as we check
From the moment I started watching the Dragon Ball cartoons as a teen I was hooked. The world of Goku, Vegeta, Frieza and their epic battles had me glued to the screen and tuned in, getting up early day after day to see what happened next. When I wasn’t watching Dragon Ball I was either talking about it or reading about it. A true fan-girl in the making. This love only evolved like a Saiyan through the years and grew just like the Dragon Ball franchise grew, and today we have new anime, mor...
