Resident Evil Village Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
I've had a blast playing Resident Evil 8. The game plays wonderfully on Nintendo Switch 2 and combines a lot of the elements I’ve come to love about the series. If you’re looking to get caught up on the last game before beginning with Resident Evil Requiem, you really cannot go wrong with this version of RE8. The additional DLCs are included as well as the Mercenaries mode. While it does 'sag' a little in the middle part of the story, the final sequences of the game were great.
Resident Evil Village tells a memorable story filled with action-packed scenarios, moments of trepidation, & an overall euphoric experience.
Few publishers have managed to translate their games to VR as successfully as Capcom. Resident Evil 7 was a must-play on PSVR and Resident Evil Village VR on
Capcom has created a luxurious VR experience for Resident Evil Village that grows in power the deeper you delve into it, It’s a tough one to get to grips with, but this is a shot in the arm for an already great survival horror adventure.
I got a story as confident as it is weird. I got a cast of characters with blistering charm. I got an experience that moved from the stuff of nightmares to the stuff of dreams — weird, haunting, and maybe a little deeper than I originally gave it credit for. I got a Resident Evil game. And it might be one of the best so far.
We review Resident Evil Village for Nintendo Switch 2. Is it worth checking out? Read our impressions.
Experience survival horror like never before in Resident Evil Village, which elevates each desperate fight to survive by showcasing the most realistic and terrifying graphics to date.
Although more action packed than its predecessor, Resident Evil Village is a hell of a spectacle and very impressive on the Switch 2.
Rather than following gaming trends in search of profit, Capcom is beginning to create another of its own: high-quality, big-budget VR ports. After Resident Evil 7: Biohazard successfully translated Ethan Winters’ plight to save his wife into the world of virtual reality, the developer has done it again with the follow-up. While we feel some things could have been done better, Resident Evil Village in PSVR2 is even more intense than the flat-screen experience. It’s one of the launch games you need to play.
Resident Evil Village is perhaps best known for its Tall Vampire Lady, Lady Dimitrescu, who took the internet by storm back in 2021. Well, the crazy people over at Capcom have done what nobody thought possible, and crammed the tall lady into an even smaller screen: that of the Switch 2.
“Resident Evil Village boils all the best and worst parts of the franchise down into an eclectic, though uneven experience.”
Reaching the credits, I sat back, exhausted and disappointed at where the series had ended up.
