Cozy Caravan Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
Cozy Caravan is one of the most unique experiences I've had, and it's elevated even further by the evident love the 5 Lives Studios pours into it.
Cozy Caravan is an adorable single-player cozy game that allows you to explore towns, harvest different items, cook, bake, or sew those items into something new, sell them at the market, and upgrade your caravan. This slow-paced, open world game is a sweet little gem that is both relaxing and entertaining, and a great addition to any cozy gamer's collection.
I genuinely feel like a proud parent whenever I show off my Cozy Caravan character. The game does a lot to create a warm, comforting atmosphere that feels especially welcome right now. It’s the kind of game I’ll happily keep checking in on after finishing the review. If you’re looking for a new cozy game to sink into or a game like Animal Crossing, Cozy Caravan should absolutely be at the top of your list.
Cozy Caravan is a triumph of vibes over complexity. It is a game designed to really cool down your heart rate. It succeeds pretty well in creating a world that feels kind, warm, and welcoming. While it may lack the mechanical depth to hold the attention of hardcore simulation players and fans for hundreds of hours, it is a perfect example of a palette cleanser game. Cozy Caravan is a delightful road trip that asks nothing of you but to slow down and smell the flowers.
Cozy Caravan | Review | We reviewed 5 Lives Studios' slow-life caravan simulator. Is it worth the price?
Cozy Caravan is real low stakes stuff, but if you can put up with the slow tempo then you’ll find yourself enjoying this warm and whimsical world.
Even without major innovations, indie music holds up through its charm, customization, and welcoming atmosphere.
Jolien has dove into Cozy Caravan and shares her impressions of this cute, soothing game review full of market stalls, villages, and friendly characters.
I think Cozy Caravan will appeal to a lot of people, but at the end of the day I found out it wasn’t for me personally. It’s very cute and charming, but the gameplay loop is just too slow for my liking. There are also other choices that just don’t make sense to me, like I wish there was an actual, trackable quest log. There’s a lot to like, but if you want any amount of friction to your gameplay I’d recommend looking elsewhere. However, if you just want to relax in a cute world as a cute cartoon animal, you could do much worse than cozy Caravan.
Overall, with continued support and additions, Cozy Caravan has the potential to become one of the all-time greats in the cozy games scene. Even in its current state, there are plenty of things to do and see and lots of adventures to be had. It’s currently a little rough around the edges, but its charm and wit help smooth over some of those bumpy patches. It’s an adorable little game with a lot of heart and soul, and worth jumping into for any fan of cozy games.
