In an industry with so many passionate titles, Celeste stands tall as one of the best. Its vision is flawlessly executed with excellent gameplay and presentation from top to bottom.
Unique, beautiful, highly challenging, and emotional, Celeste is an excellent game, and a must-play for even non-platformer fans.
Celeste is an action platformer from Matt Makes Games. There are many similar titles already on the Switch, but where does Celeste stack up? Celeste does a grea
Celeste is a textbook example of doing so much with so little. The gameplay mechanics don’t exactly evolve but the ingenious level design and ever-changing obstacles force you to use your limited move set in new and inventive ways. Celeste is full of surprises like this but possibly its most surprising trick is how invested I became in Madeline’s personal journey to climb the challenging Celeste Mountain. Without going too far into spoiler territory, I discovered that Celeste tells a story about depression and overcoming those personal struggles. It certainly caught me off guard, in a good way...
Celeste is a mountain like no other; filled with utter retro-charm and physics-defying obstacles, Madeline is on a quest to the top of the mountain. Her inner demons attack her along the way, and it's your job to jump and dash through some of the most intense platforming modern gaming has to offer. It's a unique, brutal, and absolutely stellar journey that has already risen to the top of the Nintendo Switch indie ranks.
If you are a fan of platformers, wonderful stories, or just enjoy good games, do not wait up on Celeste!
Celeste blends old gameplay ideas with progressive story telling and the results are nothing short of amazing.

2,649. That’s how many times I’ve died while playing through Celeste’s main story chapters. I realize it might look a bit extreme, dying that many times in a six to seven hour-long video game, but it’s a number I’m particularly proud of.
Mountain climbers don’t climb mountains because it’s easy. Difficult challenges are often intrinsically rewarding, and Celeste is that kind of experience. This adorable platformer about a troubled young woman named Madeline who pushes herself to climb a mountain is full of platforming sequences that mirror the heroine’s own struggles. The journey isn’t always easy, but the view from the top is spectacular.
Celeste is a game that has recently been the talk of the industry as well as a game so good that my co-workers can't stop talking about it. It's been thrown around as being one of the best games ever made to being that specific person's all-time favorite game.
Minutes into my first playthrough of Celeste, I found myself breathing more heavily than usual. The 2D platformer certainly presented some light challenge early on, but that wasn’t what was causing such a physical sensation. It was the atmosphere, the daunting-yet-inspiring music, and the frequent reminders of how...
