Microsoft Flight Simulator is a game that you have to play to understand just how incredible of an experience it is. It's an incomparable adventure that consistently surprises and delights. The game provides you with all the tools necessary to conquer the unthinkable task of flying the plane. Asobo has laid an incredible platform that will provide hours upon hours of joy for both casual gamers and flight experts alike, and it's only upwards from here.

Microsoft Flight Simulator has enough quality-of-life features to make it well worth a purchase for any virtual pilot, but the ability to fly anywhere on the planet makes for a game that’s uncanny and impossible not to recommend to anyone who’s remotely interested in the view from above.

If you’ve ever wanted to fly a plane or are simply fascinated by air travel, Microsoft Flight Simulator is a must-have. But for those with Xbox Game Pass for PC, it’s also worth a download simply for the window to the outside world it delivers. Never been to Egypt and seen the pyramids? It’s not quite the same, but flying over them in Microsoft Flight Simulator will still let you appreciate their grandiosity. Upset that you haven’t been able to go on holiday to your favourite location abroad this year? You can at least visit it in digital form while sipping a nice cocktail. Microsoft Flight Si...

It's hard to understate how incredible having the whole world available feels and the amount of possibility it opens up.  I've been playing for over a week and there are entire continents I haven't looked at yet, and am still only beginning to settle down and focus on an overall gameplay direction.  Is today a good day to investigate tropical storms, flying in the caverns of the clouds?  Maybe try a new aircraft, get to grips with its real-world super-accurate cockpit layout?  For that matter it might be worth spending more time in cockpit view rather than kicking the camera outside the plane ...

Microsoft Flight Simulator on Xbox Series X and S is the first current-gen game that feels like it would have been impossible last-gen. It not only looks like a current-gen exclusive – it’s the first game that plays like one all the time. There’s a touch of irony that its arrival on consoles is so late that its original PC departure occurred last-generation, but there’s no way the Xbox One could have delivered any version of Flight Simulator as we know it.

A beautiful experience. Even with the long load times and, overall, feeling that this game is catered to hardcore players, there's no getting around just how gorgeous and fun it truly is.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is nothing short of revolutionary, featuring an almost impossibly large, authentic and living open world that's bound to take your breath away. Asobo and Xbox Game Studios have delivered a truly special entry in this historic franchise, and it's only going to get better in the years to come.

Free from graphics cards, drivers, and other PC trappings, Microsoft Flight Simulator is the most accessible flight simulator ever made. With the most minor of concessions, it also manages to be the best looking game the Xbox Series X has on offer to date. With the right control surface, you too can slip the surly bonds of Earth, and when it looks this good and plays this well, I highly recommend it.

The whole planet, one mouse click away, at your own home. The world's greatest metropolises in a next-generation setting, completely realistic and scailed. Flight Simulator 2020 is a prelude to the next generation of games.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is the best title in the franchise and provides a non-intimidating onboard ramp to the simulator franchise, but game crashes and performance issues can be frustrating.
