Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
Warhammer 40K: Space Marine II is a tremendous experience that brings the best qualities of the franchise to light. As Titus is once again trusted with a mission of dire importance, he will have to navigate the horrors of the Tyranid threat as well as the suspicions of his own squad if they have any
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a masterclass in understanding your subject matter, delivering not only an incredible gaming experience for you and your friends but also serving as a worthy successor to a 13-year-old classic.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II is a fantastic PvE shooter with a great story, brilliant level design, and multiplayer options that will keep you engrossed long after you beat the main campaign. The customization options are intricate and incredibly detailed and the game serves as a great jumping off point, regardless of how much you know about the broader Warhammer 40k universe.
More so than in the first game, the developers were really able to capture the spirit and look of the Warhammer 40k universe, with these towering gothic cathedrals looming over you, or the dangerous jungles with massive plants that look like they’d kill you with a touch. The models themselves, from the characters to vehicles, feel as if they were ripped straight from the tabletop figures as well with how detailed they are. Space Marine 2 is the kind of sequel I like. It doesn't try to reinvent the wheel, instead, it refines and expands on what made the original so damn good to
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a third-person action title from the cult-classic Space Marine franchise.
The last couple of years have been pretty great for Warhammer 40,000 fans. We received an amazing tactical RPG in the form of Rogue Trader, Darktide provides a co-op FPS experience, Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters allows you to hunt Nurgle traitors as the Grey Knights, and now Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 recently released in its full glory. While the original Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine offered some campy, ork slaughtering fun, the sequel provides a more brutal take on being a space mari...
“Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine delivers non-stop co-op action in all its gory glory.”
Warhammer 40.000: Space Marine 2 builds on everything the original had to offer, making you feel like an absolute badass and creating a power fantasy like few other games manage.
Despite some drawbacks, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is the best new entry in the series that fans and newcomers alike can appreciate.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is exactly what you think it is: another (rather fun) Space Marine game, albeit one with clunky new mechanics and a pretty forgettable story.
Thirteen years since the first iteration, Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 makes its triumphant return to form, bringing with it all the bells and whistles of modern gaming tech.
