Trials Fusion is definitely another Trials game, but quality content helps to make this a good thing!
“Trials Fusion gracefully sidesteps the same-old treatment with new flavors and added complexity that build on RedLynx’s well-established foundation.”
Trials Fusion is a good game — and I can only see it getting better over time as user-made levels excel and DLC is released — but what’s there now, at launch, is a step down from Trials Evolution. It’s disheartening, then, to see the game come in at a higher price point than its predecessor and also try to sell users on a $19.99 Season Pass in-game right out of the gate.

There is a certain level of skill and frustration that is created as a result of the Trials games, and its easy enough to say that it is probably what brings people to purchase them time and time again. We can be happy in knowing that the latest game in the franchise is just like those of the past and remains just as enjoyable. The latest game in the franchise, Trials Fusion, is the first of its kind to get a proper release on blu-ray and it offers plenty to new and old alike.
Familiarity breeds contempt, or so they say. But I don’t think this well-worn phrase applies in all circumstances. In the case of Trials Fusion, it would seem that familiarity has bred, well, simply, familiarity. Yes, it feels like we’ve been here before, partly because we have. But when it’s executed with such finesse, is that such a bad thing?
