Stranded Sails Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
Stranded Sails offers some terrific farming simulation which does the majority of the game's heavy lifting, but it’s held up by middling RPG-esque mechanics. Mixing things up and throwing a selection of genres into a pot to see what comes out is arguably commendable, and there’s an awful lot to like about Stranded Sails, but some frustrating and bizarre choices in regards to recipes and the energy meter system hamstring the game for those hoping for a less taxing castaway experience.
Don your fanciest pirate hat and get ready to explore the Cursed Islands in Lemonbomb Entertainment's farming adventure.
The simulation genre has made significant strides over the last decade. Titles like Stardew Valley, Story of Seasons, and My Time at Portia have carried on the Harvest Moon legacy, proving that these farming games aren’t as niche as they once seemed.
Having run into the aforementioned menu bug, we booted the game up again and everything seemed fine. However, several minutes in we found that items were missing from our inventory. These were key items needed to complete story quests which therefore made it impossible to proceed. With the constant auto-saving, we were unable to retrace our steps, leaving us poetically stranded.
