Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
By all accounts, Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn should have been a disastrous failure. However, it ended up as a surprisingly competent beat-em-up, and its passionate charm and fun gameplay make up for its uneven humor and short replay value. Put on some Gold Bond and head to the court, because it’s time for a Shaq Attack!
You better have to choose if it’s worth spending your spare cash, because it might not be the game for you and it might be for others.
A Legend Reborn is a fun, simple brawler but nothing more. I enjoyed the humor for what it was, and it doesn’t take an overly long amount to time to clear. It’s one of those games you can spend a day playing and not feel like you’re being cheated out of anything if you never play it again. Shaq Fu’s return won’t earn the horrible reputation of its predecessor, but will probably be easily forgotten before the year is over.
Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn manages to do things at such a basic level that it numbs us to the idea of anything entertaining happening ever. A product from the past that lacks in every department, one has to wonder why they even bothered?

Shaq makes his long-awaited return to video games in the revival of the cult classic Shaq Fu. Check out our Shaq Fu A Legend Reborn review to see if it's a worthy trip down memory lane.
This is a bad game. It’s not worth $20 and, in my opinion, not worth $5, unless you’re the kind of person that would get a kick out of Paris Hilton slut jokes in 2018 and can’t get enough lazy, casual racism. A lack of cooperative multiplayer outright dooms the title, forcing it be be endured alone by those unlucky (or stupid) enough to buy it. I’m honestly shocked that Shaq lent his name and voice to this turd pile. My guess is that he cashed the check and hasn’t seen the game. A disclaimer opens the game stating that the events depicted don’t represent Shaq’s views or opinions and that those...
This absolute travesty was the maiden game by Big Deez Productions. It’s never a nice feeling to be this critical about something, because people did put hard work and passion into it, and as a critic I feel like I’m being cruel to say that something is completely irredeemable. But that’s what Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn is: irredeemable. This is 2018’s most cuttingly unpleasant game to play. And I’m one of those that played Agony.
It’s ironic, given Shaq’s gargantuan statue, that the game is so short. At six stages with each being easily beaten under twenty minutes, you could easily finish this game in less than two hours. This works in the game’s favor considering the second half of the game is when it starts to hit its lull. The reskinned enemies, repeat use of the same two power-ups, and mindless mashing finally hits its zenith and once it kicks in you’re left wanting off Shaq’s ride. In a very clear attempt to pad out the final moments of the game they even include multiple segments where they have you fend off 200 ...
