In the end, it’s safe to say that Narco Terror is still a fun game to play, even though it doesn’t add anything extraordinary to its genre. There’s nothing inspiring about it, but at the same time no reason for the fans of twin stick shooter to avoid when the price tag is very reasonable. You may not remember playing this game forever, but without doubt you will enjoy while playing it.

Narco Terror is a literally explosive and rollocking ride through an ‘80s action flick. While it does become increasingly and frustratingly difficult to play alone and suffers from bland storytelling, Narco Terror delivers in its co-op gameplay, and is both great looking and easy to quickly pick up and play with a friend.

A goofy blast from the past that lacks substance, but makes up for it in style.

In the end, it comes down to priorities. While I do have a question mark over a few of the game’s design decisions, my view has been that gameplay triumphs context and so I could enjoy this game for what it offered. Thus, I give this game an above-average rating. But to say that my judgment is final is wrong. In the end, players of this game will come to the conclusion of whether or not they are willing to praise this game or shun it.

Narco Terror is a cheesy 1980s action movie squeezed into a pseudo-isometric twin stick shooter, full to the brim with stupid one-liners, massive explosions, and drug peddlers with machetes. It’s a game that’s based on simply having dumb fun – but how long does it take for the novelty to wear off?
