Minishoot' Adventures Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
If you've read any of my reviews before, you'd know that I'm a sucker when a game can combine two different concepts, and do it well. Minishoot' Adventures
Once the upgrades are flowing, and you are exploring every nook and cranny that’s where Minishoot’ Adventures shines. It doesn’t get bogged down in the details. Just cuts the fluff and gives you exactly what you need to have a good time, providing upgrades, new weapons and abilities at such a satisfying clip that I honestly had trouble putting it down to write this review. It’s addicting, looking for the new ability or finding a new secret area. There’s also end game content for those inclined (which I definitely am) but just in general, the game hovers between 4 and 6 hours but I sp…
Games inspired by The Legend of Zelda are common; after all, the long-running Nintendo franchise is among the most influential series in gaming history. Because of this, various games take the Zelda format and try to replicate it, but these homages often miss out on the magic that makes that series greater than the sum of its parts. This is particularly true in the indie space, with Zelda-inspired titles a dime a dozen, making it difficult to stand out from the crowd. Minishoot' Adventures clearly draws inspiration from Zelda – specifically A Link to the Past – but by applying the formula to t...
Minishoot' Adventures is a handcrafted bullet hell metroidvania where a tiny ship explores an open world, clears dungeons, and rescues friends with tight twin-stick shooting and clever upgrades. Read our review to explore its gameplay depth and challenging boss fights.
Minishoot' Adventures is an absolute delight, combining intense twin-stick shooter gameplay with a charming world that begs to be explored.
Minishoot’ Adventures is great, plain and simple. It’s oozing charm from its art style and UI to gameplay and exploration. It’s a game you want to complete 100%, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Developed by a two-man team, Minishoot' Adventures shouldn't play as well as it does. This twin-stick shooter take on The Legend of Zelda is one of the most polished and great-feeling games I've played in a long time. If either of those genres interests you, then you owe it to yourself to check this
Minishoot’ Adventures may be simple, but it’s a blast. The story is thin and occasional bugs dampened some moments, but the experience remained amazing overall. Most of that is thanks to the moment-to-moment gameplay having some of the best shooting and exploration I played in a long time. It’s pure fun, and I honestly can’t ask for anything more from a game.
Minishoot’ Adventures, aside from the weird apostrophe in its title, is as straightforward as it gets. You can look at it once and immediately clock what it’s all about. But despite it being a mashup of familiar ideas, it stands out in a few ways. For one, it’s a particular blend of styles you don’t see every day. For two, it’s a pitch perfect execution of its concept. With mashups like this, all it can take is hitting the bulls-eye to make for a great experience. I breezed through this adventure, and had a blast the whole time. Sometimes, it’s that simple.
Minishoot’ Adventures is a charming bullet hell shooter that successfully elevates the genres it takes inspiration from, earning it a solid recommendation.
Taking inspiration from a little green elf, Minishoot' Adventures combines bullet hells and exploration to create something truly unique. This title might not be the toughest or most compex title on the market, but the feedback loop between combat and exploration kept us captivated.
A straightforward but wonderfully executed blend of topdown shmup action with a 2D Zelda structure.
