I have never encountered a more beautiful, entrancing and sublime gaming experience
Manifold Garden is a fantastic puzzle game with a distinctive style. It adds challenge and new elements gradually, using colour within puzzle solutions in a way that keep things fresh. Highly recommended for puzzle game fans.
William Chyr Studio took their sweet time with this one, but Manifold Garden has finally released on the PS5. Was it worth the wait? Find out in our Manifold Garden PS5 review.
Manifold Garden is a wonderful, mind-bending puzzle experience. After 7 years of development, the five or so hours of the game are unique yet familiar. There is nothing else quite like it, and is one of the best puzzle games ever created.
Manifold Garden is a stunning puzzle game, one that will leave a lasting impact on you, not just for its thought-provoking puzzles, but by virtue of the fact that you're essentially playing an actual piece of art. It's bloody delightful!
Released in 2019 to overwhelmingly positive feedback, Manifold Garden has arrived on the PlayStation 5 to once again challenge players with its unique take on the puzzle-adventure genre. It’ll stump you in (mostly) all the right ways, but more importantly, thanks to its hypnotizing visual style, it will leave you questioning what really is the meaning of infinite. Whether you’re a fan of the original or new to Manifold Garden, there’s never been a better time to jump in.
The game’s creator, William Chyr, identifies primarily as an artist. And it takes an artist’s touch to so masterfully combine gameplay, art direction, architecture, logic puzzles, spacial subversion and audio-visual elements into such a coherent package. I’ve a feeling Chyr’s next project might manifest as an art installation rather than a game. If so, I’ll be holding my breath for a fall as I step tentatively through the doorway.
William Chyr’s serene gravity-flipping puzzler makes you confront infinity.
William Chyr’s passion project is among my favorite first-person puzzlers for its ambitious scope, entrancing visuals, and brain-breaking conundrums.Gardens have always been something I’ve admired at a distance, rarely wishing to engage in the toil. It’s [...]
Manifold Garden was actually not a game I intended to review as I’m, admittedly, not the typical audience for it. Not that I don’t like puzzle games, but they aren’t something I actively seek. With that said, I was actually very impressed with this title since it offered something unique to me. It didn’t blow my socks off, but what’s here I think a lot of puzzle fans will really enjoy. Let’s take a deeper look into this strange and beautiful game.
Manifold Garden is a calming, puzzle adventure game all about manipulating gravity and exploring a bizarre world of improbable architecture. But what some find
But most of all, Manifold Garden makes me break out in a cold sweat. I cannot help but imagine myself, trapped in an endless kaleidoscope. Running through corridor after identical corridor. Walking out of a room and finding myself on a pyramid of steps without end. Just running around the same strange building, and only seeing more of that building. Forever. I cannot imagine a worse horror. Argh.
