NASA are trying to put a man on the moon but in a remote corner of Siberia, a Soviet cosmonaut is heading in the other direction. Ivan Ivanovich is dropped into an extinct volcano in his exploration capsule, Little Orpheus, to explore the centre of the earth.

Ivan vanishes, emerging three years later claiming to have saved the world. In a top-secret bunker, he is debriefed by the fearsome General Yurkovoi. Little Orpheus casts players as Ivan as he recounts an adventure beyond belief: a tale of lost civilizations, undersea kingdoms, and prehistoric jungles deep below the Earth’s crust.

Brought to you in glorious technicolour with visuals inspired by a bygone era of adventure, Little Orpheus is a serialised adventure inspired by classic movies like Flash Gordon, Sinbad and The Land That Time Forgot.","25016/co7wqr_webp","25016/sc8c2n_webp","https://youtu.be/avGJU2hvVeA","2020-06-12",67.82,55068,"little-orpheus",1558930,[19,24
"Sumo Digital",false,true
"The Chinese Room",[28,29,30],"Platform","Puzzle","Adventure",[32,33,34,35,36,37],"PC (Microsoft Windows)","PlayStation 4","Xbox One","Nintendo Switch","PlayStation 5","Xbox Series X|S",[39,55,70,85,98,113,128,141,156,169,183,197,209
346
39,"Lee Mehr
1,"https://cdn.criticdb.com/storage/v1/object/public/avatars/Outlets/TechRaptor%20Logo.png","TechRaptor","https://techraptor.net","10","Little Orpheus' Cold War-era narrative captures the fun of vintage adventure serials, but its gameplay is as rewarding as a Soviet breadline.","https://techraptor.net/gaming/reviews/little-orpheus-review","2022-03-01","5",50
2236782
17841,"Kirk Hiner
158,"https://cdn.criticdb.com/storage/v1/object/public/avatars/Outlets/Purenintendo.jpeg","Pure Nintendo","https://purenintendo.com","Little Orpheus—an Apple Arcade game now remastered for Nintendo Switch—is the latest sci-fi/fantasy adventure to take us deep into the center of the Earth. There’s no narrative payoff here, no greater meaning or memorable conclusion that sticks with you. In Little Orpheus, The Chinese Room flirts with providing a more engaging experience that never quite materialises, made all the more apparent by the lack of puzzles intuitive enough to give us the barest hint of a dopamine-laced ‘aha!’ moment or a chase sequence or two with enough challenge to make us sit up on our sofa.
