Professional reviews from gaming critics
Agent 47 is back in Hitman Freelancer with what may be his biggest and most ambitious adventure yet. The best part of all? You can choose your own weapons and tactics to take down targets, vigilante style. Here's how it all plays out.
Sandbox games are a dime a dozen these days, but there’s still nothing quite like IO Interactive’s long-running Hitman series, especially the latest trilogy,
Hitman: World of Assassination's VR update brings you a brilliant new perspective and fun, interesting mechanics to the entire trilogy. Regardless of the few bits of content that didn't get the treatment, there's more than enough here to keep you occupied for hours and hours on end. Whether you're a long-time fan or looking to become the Silent Assassin for the first time, and I found it just as fun as its flat screen counterpart.
Hitman: World of Asssassination reaffirms that it is the quintessential immersive sim from the last generation. There is something so satisfying about exploring and understanding these worlds, how the characters and targets fit together and the sheer sandbox that it becomes when every little aspect of the game can be used to complete your objectives. Hitman 3 is the final instalment in the World of Assassination series that began with 2016’s Hitman reboot – a series which has given the venerable chrome-domed killer a new lease of life.
Hitman World Of Assassination is the dramatic conclusion to the World of Assassination trilogy, taking players around the world on a globetrotting adventure to sprawling sandbox locations, with Agent 47 returning for the most important contracts of his career.
Hitman World of Assassination - Signature Edition is a stunning collection of games that sees Agent 47 at his absolute best. With multiplayer aspects woven seamlessly and smartly into the mix, tons of ways to approach every mission, and some of the best level design in the biz, this is a bonafide belter, no questions asked. However, this Switch 2 port — as things stand at launch — does need some work to fix its stuttering issues, especially in docked mode, as they are just a little too notable for comfort. Still highly playable, but with some performance problems, then. Let's hope we see impro...
