Speaking of online, this entry features a much more interesting online system than before. You can join lobbies, meet people while running around as an avatar of your chosen Gunpla, join Clans, do missions together, compete in tournaments, and more. It’s cool to see a bigger focus on trying to recreate the environment presented in the story as well as some of the Gundam anime in this universe. I could see this game becoming really big for me if I found this after discovering Gundam at a young age, and it’s pretty sweet to see the effort made to create something like that.
The beauty of Gundam Breaker is that you don't need to be a fan of the larger Gundam franchise to get plenty of enjoyment out of it. It scratches the itch of an action game and a loot game all in one, and I can't seem to get enough. At heart, it's still a game all about making the wackiest robot you can that still absolutely shreds through enemies, and I think that's amazing.
As a fan of mech fighting, I was looking forward to GUNDAM BREAKER 4 and it exceeded my expectations so allow me to explain why.
Gundam Breaker 4 lets players live out their Gunpla creation dreams in a well-made package. A repetitive gameplay loop and mediocre story are a bit of a letdown but the creativity and action help make the experience worth checking out.
When the issues of a game are rolled and stomped by its greatness, then it’s something to invest on if you have some spare.
Celebrating the 45th anniversary of Gundam, Gundam Breaker 4 brings back the combined action-packed gameplay with custom gunpla (Gundam plastic model).
Gundam Breaker 4 is a well-built return for the franchise that smartly doubles down on what everyone wants the most: customization.
As a whole Gundam Breaker 4 is still a net positive for the series sporting a whopping 300 mobile suits and playing better than the previous mainline title. It’s essentially a return to form, with some areas still needing some improvements, but overall, it’s a solid entry in the Gundam Breaker franchise. It won’t propel the series to new heights, but it will at least satisfy fans’ itch, at least until the next one comes out.
Gundam Breaker 4, the latest installment in the popular Gundam Breaker series, has arrived, bringing with it a fresh wave of Gundam Plastic (Gunpla) models action and customization. This review delves into the key aspects of the game, exploring how it builds upon its predecessors while introducing new features to the franchise.
Gundam Breaker 4 offers a return to form for the series and demonstrates time and again that it knows the importance of focusing on its strengths. Though its middling graphics and somewhat repetitive gameplay can hold it back a bit, the incredibly deep customisation options, snappy combat, and near-endless replayability make this the kind of game that’ll get its hooks in you deep once it clicks. If you're into Gundam, we’d suggest you pick this one up when you get the chance, especially if you’re looking for a content-rich and relatively low-investment action game to add to your Switch library.
I have very different opinions on Gundam Breaker 4 depending on what area of the game you ask me about. The story is bland but generally inoffensive. The standard combat is repetitive and unmemorable but the boss fights can be much more interesting. However the controls do leave something to be desired. The customization is fantastic and generally the highlight of the experience. And the Switch port itself is very well handled. At the end of the day I found Gundam Breaker 4 is at its best when you’re either building a unique Gunpla, or engaged in the more curated and intentionally designed o…
Gundam Breaker 4 is the newest game in the long-running series and while it brings plenty for fans of Gundam and it, it does nothing to entice anyone else.

Gundam Breaker 4 isn't the deepest game when it comes to the narrative or continued gameplay, but the sheer amount of collectibles and customization is a fine achievement.
This new installment in the gunpla action RPG series is like watching an old friend rebound from tough times; it may not be as great as its mainline predecessors in some regards, but it is a solid course correction from the last few dire entries.
Gundam fans can finally rest easy, a new Gundam Breaker game has finally arrived! And it's actually good again! The Gundam Breaker franchise took a rather
Enthusiasts of the series will find plenty to like about the Gundam building and mindless combat, but those seeking a more well-rounded title will be disappointed.
Gundam Breaker 4, despite my misgivings about its gameplay, runs great on the Steam Deck, with flexible settings and a good control scheme.
Gundam Breaker 4 has a really frustrating gameplay loop, a wide variety of bugs, and a story that often feels cliched and predictable. While the characters are interesting and the customization options are brilliant, the entire experience feels far too monotonous and clunky to be worth paying $59.99 for.
