Forever Skies is a first-person action survival game. Return to Earth destroyed by an ecological disaster, fly a high-tech airship, expand, rebuild and repair it. Scavenge resources to survive, face the dangers of the surface as you will hunt for viral pathogens to cure a mysterious illness.

Jumping into Forever Skies, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. From the title alone, I was expecting some sort of War game, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out it was a post-apocalyptic survival game that takes place on Earth. There were two significant periods in which I played the game. The first was during the initial Early Access period, and the second was after the co-op update was released. I've been really getting into survival crafting games over the last few years and am interested in giving games with that mechanic a go. Forever Skies
Forever Skies offers a fun narrative survival adventure with a unique spin on how your home base operates. Sadly, its survival mechanics feel unnecessary and its combat is quite boring.
Forever Skies provides fun exploration-based gameplay with a dash of combat, but it's hamstrung by performance problems caused by weather effects, story areas, and building.
Forever Skies fails to live up to my (admittedly high) expectations, but it does offer a new and exciting perspective in the survival/crafting genre. I enjoyed my time cruising around in my airship, but I definitely feel this could have used a few more months before releasing out of Early Access.
Forever Skies' take on the post-apocalyptic survival genre is a refreshing one, balancing its airship-building mechanics with exploration and narrative trappings with ease.
