Darksiders III Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
Most of my complaints are related to the RPG bits which are not the main focus of Darksiders III. It remains an action-fueled project and that’s an angle it does well, reigning in some of the out-of-hand ideas from its predecessor. With all of the efforts to resurrect this once dead and buried series I hope there’s a chance to wrap it all up with Strife: I want to see this story through until the end, blemishes and all.
Darksiders III is a more challenging take on a series that wasn’t exactly known for being easy in the first place. It changes up its influences somewhat while maintaining its unique take on action adventure. Outside of the obvious omission of a map, the simple act of playing Darksiders III is fun, challenging, and rewarding. The Switch port, save for the expected visual downgrades, is on par with the originally targeted systems. The only problem is it never ran particularly well on those systems either. If anything the Switch version actually improves on some elements of the original perform…
Darksiders is finally back after a six year wait since the last game. Under a new iteration of THQ and a new studio made up of developers from the Darksiders II team, this is a game we’ve been waiting for but never thought we’d actually play. This time we take control over the third horse(wo)man, Fury.
The return of the horsemen delivers an entertaining if challenging action adventure. Some beautiful environments and fun enemy design help keep it engaging as you play but Darksiders’ third outing is ultimately forgettable.
The art and story of Darksiders III is engaging and beautiful to look at, even in this remastered take on the game. Adding a new game option to make the game more like its predecessors was very welcome, but not enough to save the game. Controls that don't respond when you want them to make the game frustrating in times of peril. Expecting players to understand what direction to go, or how to solve a puzzle without teaching them mechanics before hand made my time with Darksiders III unpleasant.

In need of salvation.Darksiders III is in something of an odd position. After the studio behind the first two titles was closed, [...]
Do you like hacking? Are you a fan of slashing? Darksiders III fails to live up to its potential, but fans of the series will ultimately still enjoy the third installment depicting the sagas of the Four Horsemen.
Well it's not often that I can say this but Darksiders III is a must own for any gamer on the PS2. Just kidding! This game screams at all that is bad with
When Darksiders 2 was released, it was better in nearly every way, It was a stellar sequel that paved the way for future installments to adapt and innovate upon. However, Darksiders 3 feels like lesser of a sequel than its predecessor, and more of a step backwards for the franchise, despite being a
