"I found great joy within D-topia -- mostly because I felt like I was fostering a sense of rebellion in the face of a superficial, false deity," Steve writes in our D-topia review. "You may just like it for its puzzles."

Solving the city's problems, one puzzle at a time.

July 14, 2026 Read Review

D-Topia paints a compelling picture of an increasingly plausible future for humanity. In an era where AI is being aggressively forced upon us by tech companies looking to make a quick buck, this game serves as a brilliant reminder that algorithms alone cannot solve nuanced human problems. It is a deceptively serene adventure that proves true utopia still requires a human heart.

D-topia's AI-driven world has programmed a unique fusion of logic puzzles, innocent visual design, and unsettling implications to sustain one's attention, but not much beyond that. The letter 'D' in D-topia is deliberately playing with its two most closely associated words. D-Topia is a cozy look at a potential AI future, but the ideas presented don't feel fully realized.

Annapurna Interactive's latest release tries to ask big questions about AI, while also being a cosy puzzle game about helping your fellow citizens.

July 14, 2026 Read Review

D-topia is a game well-worth playing for fans of approachable puzzlers, and gets surprisingly deep with the vast amount of sci-fi ideas it layers into the story and world-building. It's never exceptionally challenging, but still remains engaging throughout regardless. A couple of puzzle solution quirks and the occasional illusion of choice can be a bummer, but it doesn't diminish that, at its core, this game is a lovely time. Take a weekend and unwind with this one.

D-topia is a thoughtful exploration of a world ruled by AI. While it might be too subtle for its own good in places, it endeavours to highlight humanity’s need for imperfection. Hiero de Lima reviews.

For a game that initially presents itself as a cozy experience, D-topia genuinely surprised me with its unique concept, blending life-sim mechanics, clever puzzle-solving, and an intriguing sci-fi narrative into a cohesive whole that simply works. It starts off at a leisurely pace, but thanks to its carefully paced buildup, you gradually become more invested in its mysterious world and memorable cast. Before long, it grows into a surprisingly addictive experience, with its greatest strengths lying in its narrative depth and gameplay variety.
