Ball x Pit is a roguelite like no other. A once thriving city has been destroyed and those looking to seek out treasure have ventured to the pit. Combine wild abilities and numerous character traits together as you fuse and upgrade your skills to collect gold, resources and more, to build a town, co
Ball x Pit is a very easy game to pick up and play, though it’s also one where the central gameplay conceit is very much present in the free demo; I could see some gamers bouncing (pun not intended) off it pretty hard, but if the demo intrigues you, trust me, there’s a lot more to come that does get addictive fast.
Despite having a silly name — do you pronounce the “x” or not — Ball x Pit does what it says on the tin: it features a bevy of balls, and takes place in a pit. What it really is, though, is a wave-based brick breaker turned into a highly addictive roguelite.

Ball x Pit is a surprisingly deep brick-breaker that relies heavily on smart strategy, clever experimentation, and careful planning more so than RNG and luck alone.
BALL x PIT is a fantastic reinvention of Breakout with a new twist. The game combines concepts from the roguelite genre, farming simulators, and shoot-em-ups. In theory, this blending of elements shouldn't work, but the game is fantastically addicting thanks to a fun gameplay loop. What’s more, Ball x Pit is more than just a combination of non...
An incredibly fun game that is hard to put down: here is Ball x Pit, published by Devolver Digital.
BALL x PIT expands on the brick-breaking gameplay by adding roguelite and city-builder mechanics, featuring twin-stick action and bullet hell.
Ball x Pit developer Kenny Sun: you are a goddamn genius.
Ball x Pit interpretation of one of gaming's simplest ideas is chaotic, messy, and consistently entertaining.
Ball X Pit is certainly a unique game and for a time I found it interesting, but if I’m being honest the urge I had to play it felt eerily similar to the urge I’ve had to play crappy mobile games. There is an incremental progression that can be addicting. But after the first few hours I can’t say that I was actually having fun with the game, because it felt like an idle game.
