Can you make it around the world in just eighty days?
I concluded 80 days feeling the same satisfaction as when finishing a good book, with the added joy of having helped shape the character. Jean and Phileas’ trek is broad, but their stories are wonderfully personal in contrast which isn’t always translated to video games that well. This retelling of a classic novel conveys the spirit of the book while adding the perfect amount of interactivity to make the story of your own. Though I’ve completed one round trip, I’ll be taking a second spin to see how charting a different path changes my next story.
“Inkle Studios imagines a next-gen Choose Your Own Adventure in 80 Days, a hypertext riff on the novel Around the World in 80 Days.”
Another criticism of mine is that it takes roughly 2 and half hours to complete a run around the globe. It’s quite a lengthy amount of time for something that may simply fall apart one city away from the finish line. Even when you are three quarters around the world it is very hard to ascertain whether you will make it or not, which keeps things tense, but may prove frustrating for some.

I had a spectacular, unforgettable adventure story to show for my three-hour adventure, and couldn’t wait to learn more ...
Jules Vernes Around the World in 80 Days is a novel that eagerly lends itself to the format of video games, so when developer Inkle turned to the adventure
80 DAYS is an adventure game based on the classic Jules Verne novel. Can you guess which one? I'll give you a hint, it's not Journey to the Center of the Earth.

If you ever thought there was room in Jules Verne's classic novel for airships and brass automatons, this choose-your-own-adventure around the world is just the mobile game for you.
Journey on every existing means of transport, making you to use all inventiveness ingenuity, full of discoveries of unseen and unheard beauties. New gentleman, new bet, but it is up to you to choose itinerary. Would you do it in 80 days? Maybe you would rather make a stop at Bahamas, and give up the race for good?
80 Days is a big little game lost. You just have to ask yourself if you have a soft spot for struggling little adventurers and if you’re prepared to work with it through its issues to give it a home on your games shelf and a place to play on your pc.
