The Sinking City 2 is an absolute triumph, not only due to its harrowing real-world origins, but because of how Frogwares masterfully crafted a survival horror game as their first product in the genre. Its story, world, and characters are enthralling and compelling, and by the end of my first run, I immediately began playing it again as I just wanted more of the game. For me, The Sinking City 2 is right alongside Resident Evil Requiem as being one of the best horror games of 2026, and I hope the game succeeds as I cannot wait to see what else Frogwares can do with the survival horror genre.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is the fighting game revival Marvel absolutely needed, with its enthralling story, exhilarating anime style, and robust number of modes that will keep players coming back for more again and again. It has an incredible roster of familiar and lesser-known fighters that all play distinct from one another and are all absolutely fun to play, who may even encourage players to read some comics to learn about their pasts and current adventures. Despite its notably few flaws, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is one of the best fighting games of the decade and I cannot wait to find out which new characters will join its roster in the near future.
